UFMT
The Federal University of Mato Grosso (Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, UFMT) was established in 1970. It is the only federal university in this state. It represents an important socioeconomic and cultural center of Mato Grosso, not only due to the human capacity building of seventeen thousand of graduates, but also due to its research. The university has established campuses in several sites of the State, such as Rondonópolis, Pontal do Araguaia and Sinop. Currently, 961 professors of the UFMT offer 63 BSc, 20 MSc, and 3 PhD course in 18 faculties, including Biosciences, Laws, Agronomy, Veterinary Science, Education, Engineering and Medical Sciences.
